I've Got the KAVORKA!

Wow. My calendar has been burning up w/mens lately! I dunno if it's the V-day bug or just my wickedly playful smile, but boy howdy I've been UNSTOPPABLE! Ha ha! I even have a date this valentines day, which I'm excited about. You see, last weekend I (w/my wingwoman Katie, and the IT guy in our office) went to the local bar to throw back some suds and shoot the breeze, and this guy came over and…well, it was weird but I'll make it brief by saying that the "dance" began. He got my number, we had our first date on Saturday night, and now I've got a date for valentines. Do you know what this means? I could potentially get a first kiss on Valentines day!! Is that awesome or WHAT!? This guy is really nice, a good guy, but aesthetically he wouldn't be my first pick on the dance floor. That's OK though. I need to grow the hell up and be open to the idea that substance is more important than style.

I do have one quandary. In a moment of curiosity (and weakness), I filled out a profile at True.com. Now I'm getting all of these e-mails from "papichulos" and such, and of course I'm even MORE curious, but with my class and work, and all of these fun-filled weekends, I'm thinking I don't really have it in me to stretch myself much thinner. AND, since I've never "dated", I don't know how to handle all of this attention. I don't know how to "juggle" men. What's the protocol for a woman who is really honest and blunt to say things like "I'd love to, but I've actually got another date that night", and "Oh, I have another call from a 'better' guy, so I'll get in touch with you later. Maybe." Plus, I'm not into kissing a bunch of men; I just feel wrong to date this guy, then seek out other men, but am I being fair to myself? Sighhh…. I haven't signed up for their 7-day free preview so I can't contact the "winkers", so my game plan is to see where things go w/my Valentine and gauge things from there. Right? But it's like the old Ren & Stimpy episode where Stimpy was told not to push the button. The red, shiny, candy-like button that even now beckons to be pushed.

411 on the V-date forthcoming, and advice welcome. FRIENDLY, HELPFUL ADVICE!
